Back in 2006, we played Safari Sam's in Los Angeles. Whilst we were there, OC Radio Station invited us in for an interview/session & we recorded 5 live tracks for them. Rough'n'ready tho' it is, 'I Fear The Fear' is probably the best of the bunch.

The origins of the song go WAY back to any early Kabuki song, which was performed live, but never made it to demo stage. It was resurrected in one of Max's short-lived, post-Ausgang outfits, Lean Steel, and now another version has become a staple in the current set.

In it, Max is tormented (isn't he always?!) by the PROSPECT (not the reality) of losing his woman. Fool! As if he hasn't got other things to worry about without making things up...
