We're not done with airing some never-before-heard Ausgang/Kabuki demos (& live shows!), but we thought you might be interested in a brand new tune - 'Lone Bell'.

It's a murder ballad, plain & simple. Max is tortured by the real or imaginary thought that his woman has been leading a double, inappropriate life & is nudged over the edge into insanity & murder.

Yep, it's dark &, disturbing. But you KNEW it was gonna be, didn't you? We wanted the vocal approach to give the impression of someone unhinged, on the brink - thus the disjointed, out of time, spoken word angle . But it needed a musical counterpoint that was constant & relatively subdued. We thought the sub-dub feel did this rather well.
